Study
Here's a value/color study I did recently. I was actually studying Chris Rahn's value/palette to be specific. This was really fun to do, and will most likely end up getting finished. Hope you dig it!

This is an OLD one that I revised recently. I thought the original had potential but it had some real weak spots. I'd still like to refine this some more but I probably won't for a while and I just wanted to post this already. Hope you dig it!

Here's my submission for CA.org's Self Portrait Day thread. So much fun and a welcome break from the ridiculous amount of work I've been buried under. Hope you enjoy.

Hey Guys! Something pretty random today. I did this for my girlfriend, it's a combination of two of her favorite movies. It's been floatin around in my head for a while and I figured I knock it out today. Unfortunately I got a late start. I tried to do it while she was at her parents and she ended up comin home early :-( So I had to rush it. BUT it was fun and I plan to finish it up after I finish these couple pages that are pending. Hope ya enjoy! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I don't really know what to call this one so I went with that cheesy title. I just finished this up and am ready to have my peers tear it apart! (hopefully) This was SO much fun, especially suggesting all the buildings in the background and the clouds. I also had a lot of fun with the palette. But I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Mike
Not much going on lately, just work. But I had a little time the other night after finishing a page and knocked this out. It's definitely a speedpaint. I'd like to finish it but it most likely won't happen so I figured I'd post it as is.

Took some time to do a warm up piece today. I've been wanted to paint something from my MMA Reference folder for ever. Any time I do a study, it's always of a static figure. So I wanted to do something in action. Hope ya dig.

I painted this one during whatever breaks and free time I've had over the last couple days. This was a lot of fun and LONG over due. I've been wanting to paint Clownface for EVER! I'm sure I'll revisit him again in the future. Hope ya dig it.

Here's a super quickie I did last night before going to sleep. I was laying down and this image popped in my head so I had to get it down quick before it was gone. This'll definitely be painted... as soon as I've got the time again.

So I actually painted it! And I'm really glad I did. This one started off very rocky, but eventually I hit a point where everything started falling into place and I was having a blast. "Infernus" came to mind when I was titling this piece, not realizing it's tie to Black Metal Gorgoroth's guitarist Infernus. But now I think the title's even more fitting. Hope ya digs!
I took some time to do something for myself today and this is the result. Just a sketch but it will almost definitely be painted.

Just saw this on Fantasy Flight Games' site yesterday. This card was a LOT of fun to do. Kinda quick and dirty, I had to get it done in a day. Every once in a while it actually works out. Even though there's a lot of really loose elements, I enjoy the image as a whole and I'm glad FFG did as well. Hope ya digs!

I just got my comp copies of this card today and figured I'd post it. I actually did this one almost a year and a half ago. I had to do this one really quickly because I had procrastinated for so long due to some other work I was doing at the time but I'm still happy with the overall image. There are a couple of loose ends I like to clean up, but for a quick turn around I guess it's not too bad.
They actually used it for their packaging. That's always fun :-P

I did a squiggle to test my brush and kinda ran with the squiggle. This was super quick. About 3 minutes (def less than five). I'm happy with the freshness of it as simple as it is.
