This was supposed to be some old wiseman looking guy... it ended up just looking exactly like me, with a slightly longer goatie.

I'll be doing some caricatures of these guys soon. These were sketches of there faces to get familiar with their features.

New AGOT Card Art

Just got some cards back from FFG. I did three, but the other two sucked horribly. Because I spent most of my time making this one as "bad-ass" as I could :-P Hope you enjoy it.

Some new Digi's

It's definitely been a while. I'm such a slacker. The weird thing about blogs is you're never sure if anyone is even looking. But that shouldn't stop me from posting, so I'm going to try and improve on that. Here are some recent digital sketches I did. Each one more random than the last, but they were all good fun. Playing with texture and technique... always a good time. :-P Enjoy.

If you haven't already heard, we lost a great on Sunday. Mike Wieringo was a guy with TONS of talent, TONS of imagination and a great sense of humor! If you're a comic book fan you would probably remember him best for his work on his own book Tellos or his run (or runs) on Fantastic Four. He kept the industry fresh, and his stylized, almost children's book style made us all wanna stop drawing impossibly ripped body builder type super heroes and start drawing some wide eyed, smiling characters without over rendering everything. He made it look easy, and if you're an artist you know that simple is anything but easy! We're gonna miss you so much Mike, it's hard to imagine the industry or the world without you.
